Sweet blackness embraced her, an outward expression of the sudden roiling in her gut. Much could be said of the events leading up to this moment. Endless tomes could be written of the lack of foresight that brought her to such an impasse.
Stay.
Go.
Him.
Her.
So little could explain why it tore at her. Words, inadequate to express the burning failure that nipped at her heels, died in her mind before they could reach her tongue.
How was she supposed to explain?
What could make it right?
In stygian peace, her mind stilled.
Someone had to be hurt.
