Negotiations having ended the threat of the nuclear option Kim and Shego finally got to sleep, exhausted and very, very happy, but were unable to rest long. Kim poked Shego awake, “What's that noise?”
Shego listened for a minute, “It's the bed squeaking in Oscar's room.”
“Oscar?”
“Do I have to draw a picture for everybody? The Odd Couple.”
“We've never heard it squeak like that before.”
“Well, doh! I don't think it's seen quite that much action when my mom or any other company has been here. I'll see if I can tighten up the headboard and frame tomorrow.”
They caught each other looking at the clock. “Did she tell you what Felix told me?”
“Must have, if we're both trying to time them, but I don't believe it.”
The squeaking continued for almost an hour, punctuated by occasional feminine moans and finished with a loud male groan.
“Damn, I'm jealous.” Shego told Kim.
“You're jealous? I feel like an idiot.”
“You feel like an idiot?”
“Yeah, he was my date for the prom. We went home early.”
“Well, I don't think he's going home after that. I hope we've got lots of food on hand, they are both going to be hungry in the morning.”
They started to get comfortable and Kim spoke again, “Of course, he did say it took a lot of foreplay before they were ready.”
Shego gave Kim a look of disgust and gently knocked twice on her forehead, “Earth to 'Quickie' Possible, most of us would consider that a good thing.”
Kim curled up in Shego's arms, but the recent 'event' was still very much in the older woman's mind. “I really have to tighten that headboard tomorrow.” Then Shego laughed, “Poor Bonnie. If it was loud enough to wake us up you know it had to be even louder in her room. A jealous Bonnie is dangerous.”
“No, poor Monique. If she thinks that a normal round of love-making goes on that long she's going to be real disappointed after she gets married.”
“Poor Monique? No, poor Will. If those two get married and that's what Monique expects the poor guy is going to be exhausted.”
Author's question: Well, did I make Felix and Justine work as a couple, or were they a huge mistake? I have another thing or two I'd like to do with Justine in future stories. I would appreciate brief review notes on whether they work.
